The workshop of embroidery and sewing of church vestments Aksamit exists for 25 years. At the very beginning of our work the first crosses for vestments were made in the workshop. During all these years we had to overcome many difficulties, the last of which was our urgent moving to a new place. Therefore we had to make every effort to restore work as soon as possible.
Everyone who works and worked in our workshop contributed to the development. Thanks to this, now Aksamit workshop produces more than 30 different types of embroidered crosses. And our paten and chalice veil with the air “Paradise garden” even managed to participate in the patriarchal service in the Kremlin, in the Assumption Cathedral!
Over all these years, orthodox workshop Aksamit was inspired by the works of legendary masters of this craftand has created many original sketches. At the moment, we continue to manufacture on the territory of Russia, as well as cooperate with our European friends. Some of the sketches created in our workshop are now being used to create fabrics in Europe.
